High School Applicants
Applying to a four-year college or university? You’re in the right spot.
Guidance That Fits the Student, Not Just the Application
My approach is deeply personal. I take the time to get to know each student and their family, learning not only about grades and test scores but also about goals, personality, and the kind of environment where the student will thrive.
This helps me prioritize finding schools that are truly the best fit - academically, socially, and financially - rather than simply chasing rankings or prestige. My process removes uncertainty, builds confidence, and gives families a clear plan forward.
The Process for High School Applicants
Ready to talk details?
Because every student’s path to college is different, I tailor my guidance to the year and stage the student is in. Early on, the focus might be on exploring interests, building strong academic habits, and identifying extracurricular activities that genuinely matter.
As students get closer to applying, we shift toward refining school lists, preparing essays, and managing deadlines. For students who join me later in high school, I adapt the process so we still cover the most important elements from earlier years, making sure nothing essential is missed.
-
Freshmen Year
We’ll start with interest exploration, academic planning, and extracurricular guidance, plus an early standardized testing strategy. This foundation helps you make strong choices that open doors later.
-
Sophomore Year
We’ll focus on understanding the college landscape, exploring potential majors, and refining extracurricular involvement so you are building a profile that aligns with your future goals.
-
Junior Year
This is the year for in-depth college research, creating a personalized school list, preparing for standardized tests, and starting your personal statement and essay planning.
-
Senior Year
We’ll work on completing applications, writing and refining your personal statement, reviewing every detail of each application, and providing post-application support until decisions arrive.
